South East Water, like many water companies, faces the challenge of improving water efficiency in complex environments such as council estates and non-household properties, where identifying leaks and abnormal usage isn’t straightforward.

When Danish technology company Aguardio approached Spring with their Smart Leak Sensor, a low-cost, easy-to-install device designed to detect abnormal water usage, we recognised a potential fit.

Through our Brokerage service, we quickly extracted key information from Aguardio, matched it to known priorities, and facilitated a targeted introduction to the right people inside South East Water.
The result: a planned trial of the Smart Leak Sensor and an estimated £17,000 in early savings for South East Water, purely from the intelligence and connections provided by Spring.

As Thomas Drew-Stoneman, Innovation Strategy Lead at South East Water, put it:
“We wouldn’t have come across this without Jamie’s introduction… We estimate that the introduction and information provided by Spring has saved us around £17,000 in resource costs.”
